- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 5 units wide with frequency density 0.4, one 20 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 2Surds3 marks
Simplify sqrt(12) + sqrt(147), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 3Completing the Square3 marks
Write x^2 - 12x + 3 in the form (x + a)^2 + b.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 18. Work out the positive value of x when y = 128.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two tangents are drawn to a circle from the same external point. State the reason being quoted.
