- 1Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 25 cm by 10 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 2Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 7 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 7. State the simplified sum you would use.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 16. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 10 cm and an area of 31.82 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 11 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 2/11. Work out r.
