A histogram has four 20-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 3, 1, 0.5, 2. Which class contains the median?
- 3Bounds3 marks
A car covers 460 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 9 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 4Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (9x(n) + 6) with x(0) = 2. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 36, y = 42. Work out y when x = 16.
