A bag holds 7 red, 6 blue and 4 green counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given neither is green, what is the probability both are red?

A histogram has four 10-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 1, 0.5, 3, 2. Which class contains the median?

x = 108 and y = 24, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 4Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (10x(n) + 7) with x(0) = 5. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 64. Work out y when x = 4.
