x = 126 and y = 112, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.

Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (5x(n) + 6) with x(0) = 3. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 49, y = 63. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 13 cm and an area of 29.25 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 7 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 10/21. Work out r.
