- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 10-wide bar and a 20-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 163 and y = 61, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 9 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 9. State the simplified sum you would use.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 10 m/s to 21 m/s over 12 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two tangents are drawn to a circle from the same external point. State the reason being quoted.
