- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 16-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 490 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 21 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts -3, 4, 17, 36. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 7 m/s to 13 m/s over 6 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the angle in a semicircle is being proved. State the reason being quoted.
