- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 1.2, one 20 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 168 and y = 37, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 2x + 5 and g(x) = 4x - 2. Work out fg(-2).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 96. Work out the positive value of x when y = 486.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that a radius is drawn to the midpoint of a chord. State the reason being quoted.
