A car covers 160 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 8 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 14, 23, 34, 47. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 150. Work out the positive value of x when y = 96.
- 5Vectors Proof Questions3 marks
In a vector proof you find that vector PQ = 3a + 2b and vector RS = 15a + 10b. What does this show about PQ and RS?
