The point (-1, -2) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) - 2.

A cyclist speeds up steadily from 5 m/s to 13 m/s over 4 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (5, 12) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 169. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
