- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that a radius is drawn to the midpoint of a chord. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 5 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/10. Work out r.
- 3Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 20-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 4Bounds3 marks
x = 104 and y = 81, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 5Rearranging Harder Formulae3 marks
Make x the subject of 8x + 5 = y(x + 5).
