- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 36. Work out y when x = 6.
- 2Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 16 cm and 10 cm and an area of 69.28 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 5/22. Work out r.
- 4Histograms3 marks
A histogram has four 10-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 1, 0.5, 3, 2. Which class contains the median?
- 5Bounds3 marks
A car covers 580 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 4 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
