- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 660 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 24 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 4) with x(0) = 2. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
A train slows steadily from 29 m/s to rest in 10 seconds. Work out its deceleration.
- 4The Sine Rule3 marks
In triangle ABC, angle A is 37°, side a is 15 cm and side b is 8 cm. Work out the acute angle B, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
