Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (5x(n) + 2) with x(0) = 2. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 8. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 8 cm and 10 cm and an area of 34.64 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 5 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/10. Work out r.
