- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral are being proved. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 8 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/14. Work out r.
- 3Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 15-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 4Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 9 cm by 8 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 5Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 5x + 4 and g(x) = 2x - 4. Work out fg(4).
