A histogram has four 10-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 0.5, 3, 2, 1. Which class contains the median?
- 3Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 340 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 24 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 4Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 3) with x(0) = 1. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 16. Work out y when x = 2.
