- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 780 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 14 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (-4, 3) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x - 4).
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 320. Work out y when x = 5.
- 4The Sine Rule3 marks
In triangle ABC, angle A is 51°, side a is 14 cm and side b is 6 cm. Work out the acute angle B, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 4 red and 10 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given the first was red, what is the probability the second is blue?
