- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 340 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 19 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Completing the Square3 marks
Work out the coordinates of the turning point of y = x^2 - 8x + 8.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 32. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 8 cm and 15 cm and an area of 51.96 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 5 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/10. Work out r.
