- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 192. Work out y when x = 2.
- 2The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 16 cm, 7 cm and 15 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 16 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 6 red and n blue counters. The probability of taking a red is 3/7. Work out n.
- 4Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 10 < x <= 30 has a frequency density of 3.5. How many values are in that class?
- 5Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 410 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 6 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
