Work out the nth term of the quadratic sequence 9, 14, 21, 30, ...

y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 112. Work out the positive value of x when y = 175.
- 53d Pythagoras and Trigonometry3 marks
A cuboid measures 13 cm by 7 cm by 14 cm. Work out the length of the longest diagonal inside it, to 1 decimal place.
