A car covers 890 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 7 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 7, 10, 15, 22. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 0 m/s to 60 m/s over 20 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (5, 12) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 169. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
