- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 1.5, one 10 units wide with density 3. How many values in total?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 187 and y = 174, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3Rearranging Harder Formulae3 marks
Make x the subject of 5x + 8 = y(x + 8).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 75. Work out the positive value of x when y = 75.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two tangents are drawn to a circle from the same external point. State the reason being quoted.
