- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the exterior angle of a cyclic quadrilateral is being found. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 10 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 28/45. Work out r.
- 3Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 1.2, one 20 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 4Bounds3 marks
x = 138 and y = 71, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 5The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 2, 5, 12, 23. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
