- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 0.4, one 10 units wide with density 1.4. How many values in total?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 28 cm by 5 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 3Completing the Square3 marks
Write x^2 + 12x - 5 in the form (x + a)^2 + b.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 8. Work out the positive value of x when y = 72.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the angle in a semicircle is being proved. State the reason being quoted.
