- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral are being proved. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/66. Work out r.
- 3Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 15-wide bar have the same frequency density of 1.5. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 4Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 700 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 24 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Algebraic Fractions3 marks
Simplify (x^2 - x - 56)/(x + 7).
