x = 75 and y = 44, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.

Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (9x(n) + 4) with x(0) = 3. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 128. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 6 cm and 13 cm and an area of 19.50 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 11 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/11. Work out r.
