- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 780 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 22 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (6, 5) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) - 4.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 3, y = 54. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides of 16 cm and 8 cm with an angle of 107° between them. Work out the third side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 4 red, 7 blue and 3 green counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given neither is green, what is the probability both are red?
