Expand and simplify (3 + sqrt(11))(3 - sqrt(11)).
- 4Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 9) with x(0) = 1. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 36, y = 42. Work out y when x = 16.
