- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 10-wide bar and a 20-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2.5. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 150 and y = 73, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 13, 32, 61, 100. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 9 m/s to 15 m/s over 6 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that a tangent meets a radius at the point of contact. State the reason being quoted.
