A block has mass 780 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 18 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 2x + 5. Work out the inverse function f^-1(x).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 6, y = 180. Work out the positive value of x when y = 45.
- 5Vectors Proof Questions3 marks
In a vector proof you find that vector PQ = 2a - b and vector RS = 10a - 5b. What does this show about PQ and RS?
