- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 20 units wide with frequency density 0.4, one 25 units wide with density 3.5. How many values in total?
- 2Surds3 marks
Simplify sqrt(18) + sqrt(72), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 13, 22, 33, 46. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 50. Work out the positive value of x when y = 18.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the alternate segment theorem is being proved. State the reason being quoted.
