Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 1) with x(0) = 3. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 4. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4Vectors Proof Questions3 marks
OACB is a parallelogram with vector OA = c and vector OB = q. X is the point dividing AB in the ratio 1 : 3. Write vector OX in terms of c and q.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
The probability of winning a game is 1/2. A player expects 40 wins. How many games did they play?
