A car covers 900 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 8 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.

Work out the coordinates of the turning point of y = x^2 + 2x - 5.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 7 m/s to 9.5 m/s over 5 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (12, 16) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 400. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
