Expand and simplify (3 + sqrt(6))(3 - sqrt(6)).

Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (12x(n) + 7) with x(0) = 2. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 49, y = 42. Work out y when x = 36.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 7 cm and an area of 22.27 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 9 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/6. Work out r.
