A quadratic sequence starts -1, 3, 11, 23. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 6, y = 324. Work out the positive value of x when y = 144.
- 53d Pythagoras and Trigonometry3 marks
A cuboid measures 13 cm by 5 cm by 10 cm tall. Work out the angle between its longest internal diagonal and the base, to 1 decimal place.
