Make x the subject of 8x + 5 = y(x + 5).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 54. Work out the positive value of x when y = 384.
- 53d Pythagoras and Trigonometry3 marks
A cuboid measures 11 cm by 11 cm by 8 cm tall. Work out the angle between its longest internal diagonal and the base, to 1 decimal place.
