- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that a triangle is drawn from the ends of a diameter to a point on the circle. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 11 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/55. Work out r.
- 3Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 10-wide bar and a 30-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2.5. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 4Bounds3 marks
A car covers 770 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 7 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 7 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 7. State the simplified sum you would use.
