A histogram has four 20-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 3, 2, 0.5, 1. Which class contains the median?

x = 177 and y = 162, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.

Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (4x(n) + 1) with x(0) = 5. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 16, y = 24. Work out y when x = 64.
