Use the quadratic formula to solve 4x^2 - 10x + 1 = 0, to 2 decimal places.

y is inversely proportional to x. When x = 5, y = 72. Work out y when x = 12.
- 4Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The smaller has an area of 11 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
18 students study Spanish and 4 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
