20 students study Spanish and 10 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 2Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 7, 7, 7, 9. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 3Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(50) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 4Quadratic Formula3 marks
Work out the discriminant of 3x^2 - 3x + 11 = 0 and say how many real solutions it has.
- 5Speed and Density2 marks
A block has volume 115 cm^3 and density 4 g/cm^3. Work out its mass.
