A town's population is 12000 and grows by 4% each year. Work out the population after 6 years, to the nearest whole number.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 2. The smaller has an area of 14 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
13 students study Spanish and 3 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Histograms2 marks
A histogram class is 5 units wide and contains 10 values. Work out the frequency density.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(48) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
