- 1Spheres and Cones3 marks
A cone has base radius 2 cm and vertical height 3 cm. Work out its volume, leaving your answer in terms of pi.
- 2Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 7 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 3Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 9, lower quartile 17, median 23, upper quartile 27 and maximum 32. Work out the interquartile range.
- 4Bounds2 marks
A mass is 9 kg, correct to the nearest whole number. Write down the upper bound.
- 5Inequalities on Graphs2 marks
A region is defined by y < -4x + 9. Should the boundary line be solid or dashed, and why?
