- 1Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (6, 0) is enlarged by scale factor -2 about the centre (4, 3). Write down the coordinates of the image.
- 2Venn Diagrams3 marks
In a Venn diagram, 18 are in A only, 13 in B only, 6 in both and 9 in neither. Work out the probability a random one is in both.
- 3Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 6, lower quartile 11, median 17, upper quartile 25 and maximum 30. Work out the interquartile range.
- 4Standard Form2 marks
Work out (8 x 10^5) x (9 x 10^-4). Give your answer in standard form.
- 5Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = 5x + 3. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
