A block has volume 180 cm^3 and density 4 g/cm^3. Work out its mass.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The smaller has an area of 29 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
9 students study Spanish and 4 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 9, 11, 8, 6. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(12) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
