- 1Capture Recapture2 marks
A capture-recapture estimate is made of the ladybird population of a garden. State one assumption the method relies on.
- 2Fractional and Negative Indices2 marks
Write 3^-3 as a fraction.
- 3Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = -80/x, work out y when x = 10, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 5, y = 55. Work out y when x = 4.
- 5Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 2. The larger has a volume of 72 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
