A town's population is 23500 and grows by 3% each year. Work out the population after 4 years, to the nearest whole number.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The smaller has an area of 23 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
18 students study Spanish and 12 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Histograms2 marks
A histogram class is 10 units wide and contains 25 values. Work out the frequency density.
- 5Reverse Percentages3 marks
A bill is £120 including VAT at 20%. Work out the amount before VAT.
