- 1Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = 40/x, work out y when x = -5, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 200. Work out y when x = 7.
- 3Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The larger has a volume of 2368 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 9 red and 3 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 5, lower quartile 7, median 12, upper quartile 15 and maximum 23. Work out the interquartile range.
