23 students study Spanish and 10 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 2Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 7, median 9, upper quartile 19 and maximum 28. Work out the interquartile range.
- 3Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(72) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 4Quadratic Formula3 marks
Use the quadratic formula to solve x^2 + 10x + 7 = 0, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 63. Work out y when x = 2.
