A line has gradient 3. Work out the gradient of a line perpendicular to it.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
20 students study Spanish and 12 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 6, 4, 10, 11. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(12) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
