For the curve y = x^2 + 6x - 3, work out y when x = 1.

y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 50. Work out y when x = 3.
- 4Sector Areas and Arc Lengths3 marks
A sector of a circle has radius 7 cm and angle 90°. Work out its area, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
18 students study Spanish and 10 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
